Home and Estate Cleanout
When you’re cleaning out a whole home or estate, there will be a lot of junk that needs disposal. Keep things organized and make your process smoother with these tips from Simply Dumpsters.idy.
Donate
Anything that can reasonably be used by someone else should be donated. Look locally for agencies that accept donations of clothing, accessories, and more.
The Salvation Army accepts donations of gently-used clothing, furniture, automobiles, household goods, and appliances. Your donations will help the Salvation Army’s programs to aid those in need. Check with your local office to arrange pickup.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, and more. Proceeds from the sales of these items go towards Habitat’s work throughout the world.
Recycle
Make an impact on the environment. Items that cannot be donated should be looked at for recycling. Paper, plastic, cardboard, wood, appliances, fixtures, and more may be able to be recycled. Check with your local recycling center to determine what they accept and set these items aside to safely recycle during cleanout.
Discard
Anything that cannot be donated or recycled should be earmarked for disposal. Rather than making a large pile that has to be handled again, rent a dumpster at the start of your job. This will save time and effort later, and it only takes one phone call to have a dumpster delivered to your home.
Simply Dumpsters will deliver your dumpster where you need it when you need it. Just tell us what size you need — or ask our advice, we’re happy to help — and we’ll have your dumpster delivered as soon as the next day. When it’s full, give us a call, and we’ll pick it up.
If you still have items to discard and your dumpster is full, let us know. We can arrange an empty-and-return service for you.
